CLOT x Nike "FLUX DUNK"

CLOT and Nike come together to create the CLOT x Nike Dunk High “Flux”, dubbed the “FLUX DUNK”.

The original concept was infusing the Yin and Yang philosophy of black and white, harmony, and fluidity, with seemingly opposing elements coming together to form a new entity.

The concept is expressed through the lenticular construction that stretches across the entire shoe upper. While many lenticular materials transition between colors, the FLUX DUNK’s upper transitions between black and white, which creates a chrome-like effect. The co-branded tongue switches between the CLOT and Nike logos when in motion, a dynamic design detail. To maintain the futuristic, harmonious visual, the usual fabric overlays including the iconic Nike Swoosh have been swapped out for topstitching instead.

The packaging reflects the lenticular design and concept, executed in black and white, while combining the two brands’ logos in various ways. Similarly, the campaign consisted of installations also inspired by the lenticular material of the shoe, and images of the shoe in motion. The imagery gives the FLUX DUNK a neon glow, to complement its futuristic feel.
