CLOT x Casio G-SHOCK

CLOT’s third G-SHOCK collaboration: “CLOT x G-SHOCK DW-5600BBN”

This project applied CLOT’s brand identity onto the watch brand’s most celebrated model, the classic DW-5600. Apart from the CLOT red watch case, this included CLOT’s Chinese name, brand logo, and iconic Silk Royale pattern, all wrapping around the digital time display. The Clot logo is engraved on the caseback, and also appears against the EL backlight as an unexpected design element.

Celebrating the third collaboration between the two brands, the watch comes in a specially designed nonagon packaging, and comes with a total of nine interchangeable straps. The number 9 is the pole number in the yang category and the largest among odd numbers, and holds significance as a symbol of longevity and eternity in Chinese culture, and was chosen as a nod to the intended longevity of the relationship between the two brands.

The strap designs include iconic Chinese-inspired elements such as silk, prints, jade, tai chi, and yin and yang. They were taken from CLOT’s Fall Winter ’21 collection, which would be in stores at the same time.
